  1. > In their letter, staffers indicate they will not participate in activities as party members until the government changes its diplomatic posture to “join our allies in explicitly condemning Israel for its numerous war crimes and for the genocidal rhetoric from members of the Israeli Cabinet.”

There’s a similar dynamic happening with the Biden Administration having to hold struggle sessions with their staff over the IDF response to 10/7. Maybe I’m from the old school, but staff are totally replaceable and need to be reminded from time to time that they are not to be seen and not to be heard as far as the media is concerned. Normally this would be a career-limiting move, I’d love to know where these people are in a year.

    > They said there was anger that Liberal MPs and staffers, some of whom have relatives in Gaza, were reprimanded or told to keep their views to themselves,

    Good!

Entitled staffers thinking they’re the important people, sorry folks you serve the important people.

They’ll end up firing whomever organized this, and the rest of the staffers will get back to work because at the end of the day they enjoy the proximity to power and politics.
