Don’t worry though, we’re not in a recession though guys. Youth just seem to be experiencing everything that *comes* with a recession.

  2. Nothing new, just poor immigration policy doing its job. Ignore that and blame the orange man.

AI is going to be even worse for Gen Z and Gen Alpha than globalization was for millennials

Why don’t the children simply pick themselves up by the bootstraps? do they hate conservative values?

Genuinely curious, did the decision-makers who let all the immigrants in foresee this or did they truly think everything would be ok?

„The report, authored by Philip Cross, former chief economic analyst at Statistics Canada, outlines that the unemployment rate for Canadians aged 15 to 24 climbed from a record low of 10 percent in 2022 to 13.8 percent in 2025“

It irks me to no end how the government just let companies abuse the TFW program. 🤬🤬

The truth nobody wants to acknowledge right now is that a large portion of Canada’s youth are physically disabled by long COVID because of our bloody-minded insistence on returning to the pre-pandemic status quo as soon as possible. It’s not the only factor, but it’s a damn big one.

Man I love being in a recession in everything but name.

Also how do we simultaneously have high unemployment and high vacant jobs? Are we stupid?

The answer is yes. We are stupid

Wow seems like an entitled group wants to make money but dont want to work for it. Lets blame the immigrants. Get off your pedestals and you might find a job. 8 out of 10 found jobs.

  13. That is insane, wasn’t the youth unemployment number around the same for summer 2024 and summer 2026? Also this lines up with the co-op employment percentage I see for my CS cohort at UBC.
