Is there are any concern among ukraine that as this movement progresses, there is the possibility russia is waiting for the internet to turn back on, knows when it will turn back on, and is positioning itself to inflict maximum damage in a quick surprise strike against advancing Ukraine forces…precisely when Elon gets an itch to flip his switch?
This is more important than Kupyansk, and anyone who really pays attention has known about it for a few days. The fact it was downplayed initially actually makes me pretty hopeful. Theres been some destroyed vehicles shown off by the Russians but they haven’t released any mass casualty evidence like we saw in 2023 and are themselves downplaying it which is always a good sign.
Seems to be a pattern appearing, Russians overreach with their infiltration tactics and the Ukrainians exploiting advanced infantry positions before the Russians can truly consolidate their forces. 3 of these in 9 months shows a shift in doctrine which is also good. Less reports of counterattacks just cause a position was lost, and now 3 organized counterattacks on opportunistic targets. Thats how you win wars of attrition.
