      Why send him to Poland ? Dachau has tours. I know Auschwitz is much larger etc but why inflict him on Poland ?

      He is going to spend one day in Auschwitz and two days drinking in the city and learn less than nothing

      What is interesting here is that he wasn’t ordered to visit a camp in Germany.

      I assume that the reason behind it is that the former camps in Germany are nothing like Auschwitz in terms of preservation.
      Not much has been kept for people to see and learn from.

      those people will learn shit anyways so he may as well be sentenced to 12 months of cleaning parks and streets so it will actually be usefull
