These are pre-denomination bills. They have not been legal tender for decades. The few that are not heavily worn *might* have collector value, but it would depend on their series and exact condition.

    2. Unfortunately they’re too old for use in Poland and too new for a meaningful collector value.

I remember seeing them on flea market about 5 years ago for 1 PLN per note… so not really no

    4. These are PLZ currency. The conversion factor to PLN is 10000:1, so these 950 PLZ is nominally worth 0.095 PLN. But it is not redeemable since 2010.

For all I know they are worth on collectors market some 0.5 PLN apiece so congratulations on your 5.5 PLN gift from busia.

One of my favorite commie era jokes was when there was a state price control hike on the cost of vodka to 103 złoty.

-„Why does Waryński have such a long face?“

-„He’s 3 złoty short of a bottle of vodka.“

    6. You can no longer exchange them since exchange program was in effect from 1995 to 2010. But even if you could notes you have were practically worthless. You have 950 old złoty, which would be exchanged for 0.09 PLN – wchich is worth about 2 cents.

Right now worth so little that they would probably gain value from being used as toilet paper though if you hold onto them for a while they’ll gain some collector’s value.
