      I avoid chinese products where possible and buy lots of japanese, korean, US, and European goods when available.

      But for most people here in US and around the world, they will buy the cheapest shit from temu over quality goods if it would save them a single penny.

      Truly unfortunate state of the world.

      Unfortunately for workers rights, the way to combat the massive labor and manufacturing might of china is not to increase your country’s labor costs by giving workers more time off and higher wages. It is the opposite.

      So happy I waited till retirement before moving to Japan.

      It is a bit concerning when all your friends are tired out of their gourds all the time though.

      I don’t think Japan is going to survive like this.
      Their conservative nature, coupled with their toxic work ethics is going to turn japan into a country of people who would want to rebel.
