She is lifting overtime limits. That’s not gonna help with the low birth rate.

I avoid chinese products where possible and buy lots of japanese, korean, US, and European goods when available.

But for most people here in US and around the world, they will buy the cheapest shit from temu over quality goods if it would save them a single penny.

Truly unfortunate state of the world.

Unfortunately for workers rights, the way to combat the massive labor and manufacturing might of china is not to increase your country’s labor costs by giving workers more time off and higher wages. It is the opposite.

  3. Cant wait for my funeral, for all my friends and family to talk about all the work, work, work, work and work I did.

Looking at all the articles coming out about her since she came into power, she’s working so hard (on her PR).

  5. Yes milord? More work? Leave me alone! I don’t want to do this. I’m not listening

Well, it is a very good catchphrase that puts us ahead of the Koreans who only do „work, work and work“.

  7. No way. I don’t believe she only works. Otherwise why would she knows about attack on titan 😅

Quote “But today, I’d like to borrow a famous line from Attack on Titan to conclude my speech. ‘Just shut your mouths. And invest everything in me!!’,”

Working all the time prevents having a higher birth rate… No, No, No, its those pesky foreigners ruining Japan!!!

  9. So happy I waited till retirement before moving to Japan.

It is a bit concerning when all your friends are tired out of their gourds all the time though.

If your approach isn’t working (xenophobic blocking of any immigration, long hours for appearances, clinging to traditions over common sense) double down I guess?

Still a wonderful place to visit, must suck to be Japanese though.

Wasn’t a female leader supposed to be progress? This seems completely regressive.

  12. I don’t think Japan is going to survive like this.
Their conservative nature, coupled with their toxic work ethics is going to turn japan into a country of people who would want to rebel.

She said it but it means,“(I’ll) work, work, work, work, and work (harder for the citizens)“

  14. She may need to work, work, work to undo the damage she has done in such a short time

Will be interesting to see how Japan becomes Ukraine 2.0 in the endless pursuit of peace America style with young men representing an overworked tiny minority

  16. Well, that this statement won catchphrase of the year, may be a dark glimb into the future of the modern workforce. We are cooked guys…
