That clip of Trump saying the president is responsible for a shutdown… why isn’t that being played on repeat?

    2. What would end these shutdowns faster is if every time Republicans shut the government down (which if you look at history, the majority of the time the House is in Republican control) the ATC’s immediately all call in the next day, and the next day, and the next day, indefinitely nationwide.

The only reason Republicans keep doing this is because they’re using it as a weapon until they can’t anymore. Which is usually about 30ish days.

That would be cut down to 1 week if the ATCs organized and shut shit down.

But Americans either don’t know how to organize or are unwilling to.

Another day closer to me saying I told you so when enough ATC calls in sick and the shutdown ends within 24 hours

    4. I’ve come around to the idea that the Trump Administration has absolutely zero interest in the government reopening. Essentially they’ve done away with the congress. The president can continue to exercise his control via executive orders. The courts can address things, but it’s unbelievably slow and very muddled. And whether things rule in his favor or against him, it just kicks up to a higher court.

He’s essentially shut down one of the branches of government and if I was him, I would have zero interest in them ever coming back into session.

Another added bonus here is the longer this goes, the more federal workers can’t afford to keep not getting paid and they are going to start quitting and trying to find other employment. Eventually, there’s going to become a Tipping Point where he’s going to start privatizing things (atc for example). Republicans probably want this to go two months so people quit, and Democrats are waiting this out in hopes that ACA premium increased letters get people riled up but I don’t think it’s going to happen.

If I was interested in being the sole ruler of a country, eliminating the legislative branch is a great first way to do it.

This shows current administration can make deals with foreign countries, hamas but unable to do so with the democrats

And republicans are in control of executive branch, house, judiciary, senate and yet it’s the left’s fault

116 Days of government shutdown since 1980 (excluding two ~4hr shutdowns under Reagan):

Donald Trump has been president for 65 of those days and counting (56%)

A Republican has been in the white house for 72 (62%)

Republicans have had a majority in congress for 87 (75%)

It is nice seeing my Facebook wake up to Reps not negotiating. Seems like either dug in 50 year olds or bot/trolls on their side now only.

Im from a southern area and even farmer friends are at the point where they are saying Reps need to negotiate.
