    1. Anybody remember six months ago when Harris went on TV to tell us all to respect the peaceful transfer of power and to trust the system?

      Boy that sure was wild.

If you didn’t vote Kamala last election anyone hurt or killed is on your head.

This was all avoidable but some just couldn’t support her because she laughed funny, was a woman or any of the other stupid fucking reasons people give. Now we have the national guard threatening Americans.

      Thanks y’all.

Do you all understand this is a stupid hill to die on?

The majority (yes, 50+1 is a majority) voted for trump basically because of immigration. Protecting illegals from the feds will not give anyone in the left any points and you will most probably alienate the people in the middle.

      >Political organization 50501 planning protests across the country this week

      >The political grassroots organization 50501, founded to protest the actions of the second Donald Trump administration, is planning to hold peaceful protests „in solidarity with the people of Los Angeles on June 8-14 across the country, according to news release.

So I’m gonna leave the actual events of this weekend aside and focus on how we got here. Many, many people screamend this exact thing would happen exactly as it is happening and yet absolutely no measures on the left were taken to make sure it didn’t play out the exact way Trump wanted it to play out. They just walked right into it.

One of the main reasons we’re gonna fall right into authoritarianism is the modern activist left is depressingly predictable and just astoundingly easily manipulatable (Gaza anyone?). For as much as the ‚activist left‘ (righty) loves to criticize Democratic leadership, over the last year or so they have been just as much if not even more of a failure. They just keep handing the right everything they want on a platter and acting self righteous while doing it.

Legit question and I’m being curious when all the “illegal” immigrants are gone and same for all the disabled people and it’s all white people in America what happens next? Is America great again?

I think Trump won’t be able to handle the kneejerk reactions on the ground and in other states when the national guard is forced into a gun battle with unarmed citizens.

He’ll reach for the most extreme options to quell it, but once it gets to Kent State levels, then all bets are off.

    8. I predict that not a god damn thing will happen. The CARNG is too afraid to look bad. So they will do the absolute minimum. They will drive trucks around, set up tents and command post. They will post some soldiers on slowest street corners in town to waive at people. If things do get spicy the cops will take the brunt of the action. With Guard looking on.
They will not have weapons (lmao even thinking about that). Most haven’t even been to the range in over a year and they sure as shit have not zeroed, maintained, and kept track of the weapon they used to shoot. I doubt that they even sent infantry soldiers and most are truck drivers and logistics.
Trump is already claiming victory before they were even sent in. This is a waste of money, energy and time.

      >Asked about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth suggesting that Marines could be sent to help respond to the protests, House Speaker Mike Johnson said the move would not be heavy-handed.

      >“One of our core principles is maintaining peace through strength. We do that on foreign affairs and domestic affairs as well,“ he said during an interview on ABC News‘ „This Week.“ „I don’t think that’s heavy-handed. I think that’s an important signal.“

Possible Trump futures include, but are not limited to eating the dogs, eating the cats, and eating the pets of the people that used to live there.

    11. Silly_Triker on

Any “international rules based order” leaders said anything yet? No? So I guess deploying (essentially) military forces against protestors is ok then. Are they going to shut up about democracy and free speech now and constantly acting holier than thou. Trump might be the one approving all of this, but the silence from the rest who love to open their mouths is utterly predictable.

    12. We’re going to need a lot of brave souls in the coming months/years. We should be talking national general strikes at this point. If they want to beat up and bully US citizens, then we need to start making it hurt financially.

      >Trump border czar warns LA mayor, California governor could face arrest

      >President Trump’s border czar Tom Homan told NBC News that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could be arrested if they impede immigration operations.

      >…

      >“I’ll say about anybody,” Homan said. “It’s a felony to knowingly harbor and conceal an illegal alien. It’s a felony to impede law enforcement from doing their job.”

Could someone please share mutual aid organizations? Apologies if this has already been shared and I missed

So, the National Guard showed up to empty streets. Per NYT there are no protests or anything

Trump ran and won on „engaging in the largest deportation operation in the history of the USA“. This is politically advantageous for him
