It’s a much better look to be a law firm that fights, that’s for sure. What company would want counsel from spineless bootlickers?
Makes sense to me as a pure business decision. Personally I’d want to hire lawyers that didn’t back down from an upcoming legal battle.

When I was a little boy I learned after a few bullies that the only way to handle them is to stand up to them.
A law firm that appeases Trump now will probably appease him in he future if, say, the government demands privileged information.

How can anyone trust the firms that capitulated? Do you have to check with Chump first before serving my interests? How are they even running a client list? Is it possible they’re already so busy with cops that need representation? All these brown shirts are gonna need representation too. I truly cannot believe we are here. This is heinous and with the Yarvinism embedded in the MAGAt party I really fear we are all doomed save some massive movement. Schedule F gets more and more complete everyday. Interesting but I’m not ready to believe it means Microsoft isn’t in his pocket. I don’t know enough to say either direction but at this point I’m having trouble trusting anyone thriving on capitalism.

I wouldn’t trust any law firm or attorney that aligns with Trump.
I wouldn’t read too much into this: (1) companies do this all the time, especially when they anticipate a case won’t be settling and they want to retain trial attorneys; and (2) Jenner Block has real litigation chops beyond their fight against the EO. What would signal something is transactional business moving from coward firms to firms either not under EO or actively fighting their EOs.
