      I think it’s a sign for the pilgrims trail for those who wants to follow that.

      It’s an indicator you’re currently driving on a national scenic route.. There’s about 18 of these routes all over the country

    5. It means „national tourist road“ . In short it means it’s a road that’s picked for its natural scenery, vistas or architecture along it, or not far from it. THere’s 18 of them in different parts of norway, and all of them are worth a drive at some point.

      This sign normally means „scenic route“, but it’s also used to mark the Pilgrim route to Trondheim. So when it’s marked as „[sign] 1 km“, it means that in 1 km a more scenic road will branch off the main road
