There are two cities called Sikandrabad & Secunderabad in India and I thought they were after Alexander since he is called Sikander in hindi-urdu but I got to know those were some other rulers. Basically Alexander was called Iskander in west asia, which led to the word Sikander in Farsi meaning warrior. This became a more general title for muslim rulers to take in the Indian Subcontinent. And there are two cities named after two such Sikanders so yea fun fact ig?? ☕️✨️

There is also a town in Kosovo, Skenderaj. It is named after Albanian lord, Skenderbeg, who got the name after Alexander the great.
