Fact: European birthrates are so comical that the housing crisis will be solved in 20 years by itself.

That’s not accurate for North America and South America. Either split them correctly, or have them as one combined continent. South America on this map includes significant portions of what is actually North America.

Can’t wait to show this to my kid and let him know he won the lottery

While I do think it’s a little weird to include Central America and the Caribbean in North America, it’s also weird to include them in South America. Probably weirder.

Ok that every country define the continents differently but I’ve never seen this one. Is it official anywhere?

    6. Based on this we can assume that Europe + Russia will be less than 5% of the Human population by the year 2100.

    7. It is important to see what  we’re the changes 1900, 1950 and ro compare the development .

I look at this and I think (oversimplified I know) “damn, 50-50 chances of being born in slum in Calcutta”

Interesting colour choice putting Asia as yellow and North America as red – seems like putting Africa as black and Europe as white would be too obvious

I don’t like your map. The continents are divided in all the wrong places

    11. These percentages add up to 100% and yet I wasn’t born on any of these continents in 2026

    12. Wow, I have three siblings and we were all supposedly born in Europe. If this map and my maths are both correct, that has only a ~0.00053% chance of being the case! Crazy! Or maybe I need to have a talk with our parents…

    13. Somehow I don’t feel lucky being an european. I could be a lot worse off materially speaking but I think there are even more determining factors than your place of birth.

Fuck! So my son has 50% chances of being born in Asia? Shit, I don’t think my wife is ready for this information

Despite the difficulties imposed by colonialism, I am happy to have been born in the 7.08%.

    16. Maybe there aren’t probabilities when being born? What if you’re already destined to be born to a specific person? What are the chances you aren’t born at all? We don’t even know what determines who you’re born to. What are the chances you’re an animal?

Bad title for normalized birth rates, nothing to do with chance. The only reasonable chance is if your mother was on a plane during labor.

I’m gonna get crucified for this but one of the reasons the idea of reincarnation terrifies me is the probability of being born *there*.

This only makes sense if you believe we are souls floating in nothingness before birth. As far as I know „you“ are a combination of genes that can only be be conceived by your specific parents

There is a zero-percent chance of having been born as anyone besides yourself. A better name for this map is “distribution of births by the most bizarre borders for continent in 2026”.

Imagine getting that 4.8% chance and you’re born in Russia or Ukraine. Or worse, that 3% chance and you’re born in frickin West Virginia.

Why is half of New Guinea in Asia, and half in Australia? That’s a geological quirk in the tectonic plates.

    23. MonkeyCartridge on

What’s what’s crazy to me. My personal belief is that you eventually live as everyone. So that’s an insane amount of time spent in Asia.

Central America is not part of continental South America. All of Russia isn’t part of Europe either. Entire Papua is part of Oceania.

      Who makes these trash maps?
