    This is an interesting experiment. The proportions look so weird to me that I could’ve sworn there must be something wrong with the original map, yet I just put it in an image editor and flipped it and it’s a 100% normal map.

    In my mind South America was always directly below North America, but this mirroring really highlights how offset they are from each other.

  5. I remember playing old games, looking at the in-game map, and thinking „how can the desert biome be on the same latitude as the forest biome? That’s ridiculous!“ 

    Seeing the world reversed has me re-evaluating my assumptions

  10. What projection is this? The poles looks really stretched – Alaska is almost unrecognizable.

    Wow Africa is so unsettling it looks like the top right portion of the continent is a huge tumor or something
