  1. I guess Putin and the russian media are slowly trying to tell people that russia fucked up.

Did he just say they had more Star Links than Ukraine did? Seriously messed up if true. But it would explain why there’s such chaos and doomer talk from them.

He can get in prison or even front line for criticizing russian army like that. But I guess status of main propagandist saves him from walking out from the open window.

  4. We’re getting close to the point where Russia ends up selling its fleet of ships to Pepsi again aren’t we?

  5. Since the end of the USSR, Russia has not developed anything technologically advanced, but has only purchased everything from various Western countries. Putin would have had enough time and money to build up his own industry and universities. Unfortunately, however, the KGB only taught how to murder people in various ways, but absolutely nothing about economics and what a state needs to function. Now Russian citizens have brought this on themselves by repeatedly electing Putin. And the Russian economy will suffer the consequences for many decades to come; this will not pass quickly.

You can tell how depoliticised and numbed a society has become when a guy like him can criticise authorities all day and people will not in the slightest hold the leader accountable for it.

A Trump level argument full of lies:

He complains that their GPS has been turned off? No it hasn’t – except where they jam it.

He complains that their Starlink has gone and that „it was for everyone“ – No it isn’t – you pay and adhere to the terms and conditions set by the owner.

He complains that Telegram doesn’t work because they don’t have access to the servers. Nope – the Russian authorities are limiting access – a mix of: encouraging troops to use a more secure alternative and possibly trying to restrict free speech and the spread of real news.

This was a well known problem way before the ukraine war. I still remember russian fighters using civilian GPSs attached to their cockpits in Syria because GLONASS is just an unreliable piece of shit. Dude you have been using western technology for decades, and now (according to you) you are fighting the west,. Who would have seen that coming?. By the way, the west will have similar problems if some day we go to fight China, we use way too many DJI shit that they can disable in a second.

  10. They won’t do it, because they don’t want to be killed, but that reliance on foreign tech is at least partially Putin’s fault at this point.

He has been the defacto leader of Russia for over 20 years and has largely failed to expand and diversify it’s economy.

Content to guzzle down petro-profits and import foreign tech to make his army look impressive, he has failed to make any meaningful changes.

The impressive, ultra modern units of thr military that her poured so many resources into, they were always just a handful of vanguard units meant mostly for show, and have long been obliterated in Ukraine.

Putin himself wasn’t even ready for the type of war he started, and he isn’t ready for the type of world he seeks to usher in, because he doesn’t understand what he is doing much better than Trump does.

  11. His message is still parroting party lines. He’s trying to convince his followers that the banning of telegram is justified by previous examples of text, so everyone should move to Max, where the Russian government has much more control and integration.

This is partially because telegram has vulnerabilities, like how Russian military conversations about troop movements and plans often end up on this sub.

But also the primary source of Russian civilians filming Ukrainian strikes in Russia happens to be posted on telegram.

If Russia can force the use of max, they can censor those military conversations and remove the videos of ukranian strikes in Russia.

It’s still the typical and predictable game plan from Russian state sponsored media.

Well that’s a good idea, let’s also cut Russians out of Telegram.
