Can we get back to a president who doesn’t make world-changing decisions based on their feelings being hurt

He’s so close to saying „I bombed this for them“ as a joke not realizing it’s giving it all away.

    4. When youre even pointedly excluding shitty Oil CEOs from your crimes you are definitely up to some super evil shit.

They didn’t want to change his diaper cause it’s full of shit, much like the kind that comes out of his mouth all the time.

Exxon is actually thinking long term. They are wise to be tepid in their desire to invest. Must we really nation build again? After finally getting out of the Middle East?

This guy is so easily wounded lol
John Stewart did a really funny collage of trump going on and on about the oil in Venezuela.

Ah yes, for half a moment i almost forgot that he’s a spoiled 6 year old

    12. Let’s be honest, it’s pretty hilarious that this guy invaded a country and kidnapped a world leader so he could steal their oil for the oil companies without ever checking in with said oil companies if they, ya know, wanted the oil. Awkward.

When are these CEO’s going to learn? When is Congress going to do their job?

This is honestly exhausting. We have American citizens willing to put their life on the line to protest this administration and yet the people that actually have the power to do something to stop this madness just bend over.

    14. The US should be inclined to keep a rapist dementia-brain-rotted „fucking moron“ peadophile out of government.

    15. Venezuela produces the lowest quality oil. Thrump is clueless of the problem and expenses to refine.

    16. This is a strange narrative given his buddy Rex Tillerson was part of his first cabinet.

„We don’t think this deal makes any sense“

„I’m inclined to keep you out of the deal“

So ExxonMobil says Venezuela oil isn’t worth it and trump says he’s inclined to keep them them out? Thats like me saying I dont like Pizza and Trump saying „you can’t have any pizza“. Idiot.

Umm, Venezuela owes Exxon $Billions and Exxon is filing a lawsuit against the Trump administration for the oil Trump stole saying it is their money.

    20. Big-Rule5269 on

They’re all going to stay out. These oil companies aren’t going to invest tens of billions each to rebuild Venezuela’s oil infrastructure when there’s abundant and cheap oil and little profit, especially with the hassle of refining it. Political and financial instability, dealing with Colectivos and kidnapping and murder squads. Then one or two stupid ass tweets or „truths“ by Trump and it can all go to shit, just like that.

    21. _Fun_Employed_ on

I’d really hope is capriciousness would turn more companies against him, I’d take any help we can get at this point.

    22. CEOs know money.

They all know that Trump’s time is waning. They know that he’ll cut them lose the moment he has no use for them.

It’s going to cost billions to modernize the infrastructure for oil extraction and more years than Trump has left in office.

For them, it’s a simple calculus. Trump’s plan will ose them money.

    23. Internal-You6793 on

Exxon backed out first because they knew it was a bad deal and now our delusional leader is trying to spin it like he’s not allowing them in…THEY TOLD HIM THEY WERE OUT FIRST!!!! Stupid SOB.

    24. FaithlessnessWhich18 on

Didn’t sound like ExxonMobil wanted in anyway. The oil companies aren’t maximizing output from US wells & leased land cause the price per barrel is already to low for them to reach the profit level they want. Why the hell would they want more Venezuela oil on the market that will push price per barrel even lower? Supply & demand is maybe something Trump hasn’t figured out yet.

    25. It is low grade oil – useful for asphalt, lubricants and plastics. It is a bitch to refine it to kerosene and gasoline, with low yields and a lot of black tar to dispose of.

It is located in a logistical hellhole with many armed factions and an unstable corrupt government. Oil companies could lose billions on reworking the old wells they had before. Oil workers would need to be housed in guarded compounds.

Trump is talking about the US taxpayer paying 100B$ to pay for development, with promises of oil / gas in a few years. Congress would have to approve that expenditure. That’s gonna be a hard sell.

Any stability Trump promises will be re-evaluated in 26 and certainly 28.

The Republicans just voted with the democrats to block Trumps emergency war powers, so he can’t in theory deploy ground troops without congressional approval.

There is currently an oil GLUT with oil currently around 60$ barrel. The oil companies don’t need more supply, they need more consumption.

Ok that’s enough reasons. Exxon guy smart.
