      It’s like they’re getting their instructions from Russia, none of this really makes any sense other than to try to make the EU weaker. The US working against its allies is only going to embolden Russia and China even more.

      it’s a pretty alarming glimpse into how geopolitical strategy can clash with national sovereignty. Poland’s EU membership is a core part of its political and economic stability, not just a bargaining chip

      The sooner Europe distances itself from the US the better. That means moving a lot, which will take decades, but America is not someone, anyone should rely on.

      Trump’s strategy always puts others countries under pressure. I miss the times when the decisions were made by a more a polite leader.

      It’s funny that the US tries to remove the net beneficiaries from the EU.

      Like no, Poland and Hungary are not leaving, their economies are based on the European Union. Does Trump think that the US is going to pick up the tab? Russia?

      Poland is in queue to be the biggest military power in Europe. Making Poland leave the EU would weaken it. This is a russian request. The White house works for Kremlin now do not forget that

      So they’re trying to isolate eastern European countries and promote the rise of far right parties. Obviously the plan is to make it easier for Russia to invade eastern Europe as the far right in western Europe takes a back seat and doesn’t respond. Trump is without doubt a Russian asset. He doesn’t just admire strongmen, as some would have you believe. Everything he has done is to benefit Russia.

      Its so obvious now but the FBI and CIA and all the other intelligence agencies that know far more than we do, where were they in 2015. How did they let him near the office. I can agree they benefit from him in ways but siding w a Russian asset is mind boggling.

      Why won’t the MI6 leak documents or anything at all? I just don’t understand.

      Why. Please specifically answer why that would be a good thing for Poland what advantages would Poland have in this govts estimation of leaving the EU. Please articulate it clearly showing specific examples.

      Remember when the phrase „vast right wing conspiracy“ was something that Hillary Clinton said and everyone memed on it? Because I miss the days when the US wasn’t pushing Vladimir Putin’s agenda.

      If you take a look at Polen before EU and after EU you will understand that Poland can never leave EU. Less contributing to EU and economicaly booming. Have that ever happend to that country?

      I think Usa strategy at this point is very reasonable, they seek to reestablish their hegemony over legal and economical and obviously not scientific fields by sabotaging the Union and weakening it’s already frail stability they seek to return the world to back to the 70s when the states were as far as future historian are concerned a de facto empire dictating foreign policy and a vague economic one to their vassals while permitting their vassals to govern themselves to the extent they posed no threat

      Funnily enough it might have worked too. Poland has already a strong anti eu movement. But what we love more than anything else is being manipulated by someone.

      The current US govt will do anything it can to maintain its position on top of the food chain. It sees the EU as a genuine threat to that so looks to weaken it, the same as it does with China. Other than nukes. russia is not a threat to the US and is a useful foil to use against the EU. They don’t want a powerful, rich, liberal competitor.
