Good. I don’t want precedents set where bigger countries can just bully their neighbors into shutting up. Lets just say this case hits home.

    2. The threat of no-account autocrats invading nations in distraction wars is so much of an omnipresent reality. It’s important to be firm before the next front ignites.

    3. If she retracts she might as well resign because her right-wing supporters will pull their support.

She’s got stones all give her that. I don’t know how well Japan will fair with China, Russia and North Korea lurking and likely little to no USA support.

Good on her. Japan should regain its military might to counter Chinese expansionism and hegemony in the east.

    8. I can see China ramping ups its economic warfare attack against Japan. It’ll hurt Japan but China too will take a hit.

Why would she… her approval rating is reaching some stupidly high levels… just what she needs as a new PM

    10. Her approval rate is high enough to support her to make this decision despite China keeps throwing tantrums against her. But we never know when China would decide to completely cut off Japan. That will hurt alot. (But it would hit hard on China as well)

Just what the region needs. Unprovoked sabre rattling.
Let’s see, the last iron lady fangirl lasted as long as a lettuce. Let’s see how she does.

    12. This is all just PR squabbling. Policy is policy whether or not it’s said out loud.
