We are going to need to be able to withstand a lot more discomfort if we are ever going to win any of these showdowns
Ripped the possibility of a General Strike from the stokes of victory. If the air system collapsed other industries would follow and would have decapitated the regime. Oh well! First thing I learned in Aviation school (ended up not becoming a pilot) was that federal workers at airports hold the most political power in a government shutdown.
Just reminds me of my ladder wrung in this world.
I don’t want to single out women but one can escape the fact that four of the eight Democrat defectors were women. 50% of the defectors and obviously much less than 50% of the total Democratic caucus. not that women can’t be hardcore and hold the line but for whatever reason the Democratic senators seem to not be able to find these women.
Despite the Democrats best efforts to keep the government closed, the shutdown seems to be over. Hopefully today is the last of these threads.
Woke up to the news that 8 Dems betrayed America and showed they’re really Republicans.
42 is not the answer I wanted to this question.
Either the shutdown fight was ill-conceived, in which case the leadership who planned it should be removed from their positions of power, or the shutdown fight was right, and the leadership failed to keep it’s members in line, in which case they should also be removed from their positions of power. Either way, it shows that the Democrats‘ current leadership is pathetic and weak and should be replaced. God, what a terrible party. For all their immorality, at least the Republicans are an effective party.
So apparently Sen Thune included a provision in the funding bill that all senators who were investigated by John Smith and the J6 committee gets a $500,000 bonus???
What the fuck man, people are starving!
All of these GOP fuckers spend our tax dollars like it’s nothing, but they’ll go to SCOTUS to stop funding to feed hungry people.
I just can’t with this shit.
