I predict that today we will have a fully-attended session where both sides engage in an honest, vigorous debate, assuming the best of each other and focused solely on the needs of the nation, eschewing the harsh rhetoric that serves only to score cheap political points.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a shutdown as nasty as this one. I keep waiting for the fists to start flying.
But then I remember 75% of these people are older than dirt and probably couldn’t even make a fist.
