Bringing back extinct animals. The latest rich person hobby
This is never a good idea. If you bring it back, it will fuck up the eco system. It will want to mate and nest.
I think post-King Kong (2005) he had accomplished everything he set out to do.
It actually happens to a lot of directors shortly (or eventually) after they win Best Picture (or Director): Not that they’re incapable of making good-or-even-great movies, but you definitely notice a difference.
Giant Eagle by any chance?
Dude just make the tin tin sequel already
I just wish so badly he’d just use his money & influence to make one great big bloody, gory, sloppy comedy in the vein of ‘Dead-Alive’ or ‘Bad Taste’. Just one last middle finger before he goes 100% hobbiest with the extinct animals and further restoration of old footage.
hopefully it’s the Terror Bird
Howard the Duck?
The great Awk would be my guess
He did just direct a giant Beatles documentary
Big Bird in „Follow that Bird“ – 1985 Reboot!
I’d like a Jackson Star Wars trilogy
Is it that asshole Dr. George Church who claimed to bring back direwolves and roped George R R Martin in?
If so, he’s a grifter with ties to eugenicists. Well worth a listen:

Behind the Bastards recently did an episode on the De-extinction scam that has ensnared Peter Jackson. Check it out, pretty funny
Yeah, movie prices aren’t too high when a filmmaker can bring back extinct animals for funzies.
Works for me. I’d rather have Moas than another Jackson movie, good as they have been.
“The eagles are coming!”
Sesame street is going to be a tough movie to sell but best of luck to him.
I kind of wish he’d return to horror one more time before resurrecting birds 😅
Click bait headline. He’s working on several things and the Giant bird is the Moa.
BIG BIRD THE MOVIE? Starting TILDA SWINTON?
It’s all been downhill since Dead Alive.
Is this a hint at a Muppet movie??
Is the extinct bird Big Bird? Because that could really help PBS.
I thought he meant Big Bird from Sesame Street…

I had no idea this is what Peter Jackson was up to but it makes sense somehow
Am I the only one completely baffled by what’s going on in this headline?
TLDR: Giant Moa.
