    1. I don’t understand how Russia sees what Israel is doing and thinks sending troops to take Ukraine is the way to go.
Do they not have ICBMs that can dark the sky?

Middle finger instead of surrendering. Not the sharpest tool in the sledgehammer bin.

Crazy to watch these and think the person in the video KNOWS they’re going to die. Like this dude knew his life was over, and he was about to be blown apart unmercifully yet still decided to throw the finger. I would be frozen in terror.

    4. You can’t deny this about that defiant soldier – he sure had a lot of guts.

    5. What was he thinking?

„maybe the drone wont get me if I run out of this wooded area into the open field?“

    6. Anyone else notice he unclipped his armor for the next drop? He didn’t want anything to get between him and the afterlife. Dark AF.

I have to say that I’m a total noob when it comes to the 🇷🇺🇺🇦🪖, I find it very odd that 🇷🇺 sends soldiers one by one like this to the battlefield with no backup whether in equipment or fighters. It’s literally a meat grinder for these soldiers.

Just or not, defiant or not, gratuitous or not, this was kinda nauseating to see.

I know, stay home and all that, and they are 100% in the wrong, but damn. That’s humanity-challenging.

Three hits to the heart son

      And it’s poetry in motion

One could send you down the river

Three’s a strange way to be delivered

    10. I’m not the smartest guy in the world but I think I’m smart enough to not run into an open field when there’s a drone chasing me. WTH was he thinking?

Why did he fall after the first explosion? Did he get injured or just gave up?

I respect the defiance, but a grenade to the balls is definitely not what I would’ve wanted my last moment to be.

respect to the soldier man🫡, to all those maikng fun of the soldier, it is war where ukrainian soldeirs are also dying but you are not getting the footages, respecct to evryone who faught for their land

    14. Well, lets be honest, its a good way to make sure you will be finished off and not left to suffer.

    15. the grenade detonated just behind his vest as he was lifting it, he probably got his chest filled with fragmentation as well as the fuсked up legs

    16. Was wondering, why do we always see posts where Russian soldiers getting getting sniped by Ukrainian drones but not the other way around? Is it because Ukraine publicizes such footage on the internet and Russia doesn’t? Just curious

    17. Russian men must see this stuff before deploying to Ukraine, no? So how can they possibly be dumb, desperate, or insane enough to sign up? Of course many Ukrainians suffer equally horrific deaths—but they’ve been invaded, and their only other option is to flee their country, their families, and their lives. It just boggles my mind that anyone would accept cash in exchange for getting shipped abroad to a front where this is now a fairly typical end to a Russian’s military career.

Maybe I’m too many years from the invincibility of my youth, but even at 18, I imagine that hundreds, maybe thousands of videos like this, coupled with some back-of-the-envelope math about casualty figures, would have made me do almost anything to avoid this fate. Sure, I read books about horrible deaths in war, but I understood basic probabilities, and unlimited access to free videos like this would prevent me from attacking a non-threatening neighbor nation. Not to mention that the average age of Russian soldiers is close to 40 now. There is no way in hell I would have done it at any age, or in any state of intoxication, for all the money in the world—let alone a $20k signing bonus and $25k annually.

And what’s any salary worth when the life expectancy of Russian soldiers at the front is thought to average around 2 weeks? Sure, estimates vary from days to a couple months, but even if it were a year, or 50:50 odds of survival, it should be the same calculus. Who would play Russian roulette once a week for $2,000 a month? And the life expectancy of a Russian soldier on a „meat assault“ is 4 hours—given that’s the mean and that some do survive, at least a third probably die in the first handful of minutes. It’s hard to imagine that the dumbest, craziest lifer in the worst Russian prison would take those odds, even after a complementary liter of vodka.

I get that propaganda is powerful, that people are dumb, and that math is hard—but it’s not like most Russians are illiterate or can’t access the internet. All that said, I know a fair amount of extremely intelligent, Westernized Russians, and none of them seem especially surprised. The answer, they tell me, isn’t education, economics, or statistical illiteracy—it’s the culture, and especially its values, or lack thereof. The Soviet Union destroyed an empire and, worse, destroyed the soul of its people.
