  1. Because you went to the occupied side so of course it’s going to have stuff like that. I’ve been to occupied Nicosia and there was propoganda everywhere, especially against Greeks and Jews.

Lots of books being sold saying that what Hitler did was right, or lots of pro Hamas stuff too, interesting stuff.

  2. CypriotGreek on

I remember when I visited occupied Nicosia there where so many books and little trinkets and souvenirs that where anti-Greek and anti-Jewish. They had figures and fridge magnets of Enver Pasha and a small poster of Attaturk kicking a Greek Evzone into the sea. There were also countless books about the Jews and mein kampf in Turkish was literally front and center in the store. Crazy shit, the hate is real.

  3. I am not sure why you are surprised to find that in occupied Cyprus.

I would say it is more surprising that in one of the three Cyprus map items (the oval one) the RoC districts are actually correct and do not show the „trnc“. (the colorful one eliminates Larnaca)

How many Turkish flags did you see before you got to this magnet to be surprised and ask why?
Maybe your question is because it shows the whole of Cyprus with a Turkish flag?

  5. I particularly liked the one which depicts the expansionist plans of Limassol and the foreshadows the invasion and occupation of Larnaca 😏
