Yes. You can use *all* modes of transport which are part of the VBB within the Berlin AB zone with that ticket.

Yes, a valid VBB single ticket allows you to switch between train, bus, tram within the ticket’s time and zone limits, as long as it’s one continuous journey (no round trips or returns).

Sure, just look at the zones on a map at the station. Yours is AB

Welcome to intergrated local public transport!
In nearly all cities in Germany, all local public transport is integrated, meaning you can use everything with the same local public transport ticket. This means:
* all local buses (not long-distance coaches, but including local express buses)
* all trams
* all U-Bahn/Stadtbahn services
* all S-Bahn services
* all local trains (RB and RE; in some regions there are others such as RS-Bahn in Bremen, MEX in and around Stuttgart, AKN services in and around Hamburg)
* occasionally some other public transport modes, such as the Wuppertal suspended railway or, in Berlin, some ferries.
The ticket you have there is a single ticket for Berlin AB, which covers all of Berlin right up to the official city limits (if you want to go to the airport or to Potsdam, you need an ABC ticket). It’s valid for any journey in one direction (you cannot visit the same station or stop twice) for up to 2 hours after you have validated your ticket by inserting it, as shown, in the yellow-and-white or red stamping machines you’ll find at stations and on board buses and trams. You can transfer as often as you like and even interrupt your journey.
Note that you can also get day and week passes. Depending on how long you’ll be in Berlin and how often you’ll be using the public transport, that might be a better option for you. Day and week tickets don’t have the „in one direction“ restriction.
