    1. „The Trump family’s cryptocurrency business just got a $2 billion investment from a firm backed by the United Arab Emirates government. The deal is rife with conflicts of interest.“

„Zach Witkoff—son of Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and founder of the Trump family’s crypto firm, World Liberty Financial—[announced](https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/01/us/politics/trump-cryptocurrency-usd1-dubai-conference-announcement.html) the deal at a conference in Dubai on Thursday. He was accompanied by Eric Trump, who runs his family’s business.“

„This is a massive donation from a foreign government to the Trump family that will ultimately go toward a crypto exchange that has been monitored by the U.S. government for two years for money laundering. Binance’s billionaire founder, Changpeng Zhao, has not so coincidentally been pushing for a Trump pardon after he pleaded guilty in 2023 to violating anti-money-laundering laws.“

„With this deal, the Trump family will be enriched beyond most people’s comprehension, and they have the UAE government to thank for it. One can predict that Trump is likely to treat the country very favorably from here on out, again demonstrating that his power does have a price.“

„Trump changed his tune on cryptocurrency and used it to raise millions of dollars for his last campaign. His firm has been incredibly lucrative since, and as Witkoff said, it’s only the beginning. This current venture is an instance of Trump further thumbing his nose at our flimsy conflict of interest laws and selling his influence to the highest bidder.“

Absolutely have no idea why Americans are not on the streets about this. You guys have gone from hero to zero so quickly. It took a few centuries for the Roman empire – 100 days for you guys.

Why are the Dems not yelling, this is so corrupt and a massive ethical and national security disaster. America is broken.

Is there anything about the Emirates that isn’t disgusting, nasty and corrupt?

    5. I have a hard time obeying quite a few laws when I see this stuff going on. I’m a senior citizen and live on a pittance, and I have to pay taxes to support an administration pull of crooks? That really grinds my gears.

    6. For Trump, being president is a minor part-time job. His main focus remains building up his own business interests using his international contacts made via the presidency to set up lucrative deals.

If someone had produced a play featuring a part-time president doing this kind of Trumpian stuff, 20 years ago, people would have said: „Interesting idea, but obviously ridiculous. It could never happen.“

    7. A foreign government openly paid an active POTUS $2B and nothing will come out of it.

It seems pretty obvious that our newspapers are incapable of reporting on corruption. This is just laughable to be called an „investment“.

    9. Watch him bankrupt crypto, that or run away with the money and not face consequences for it…..no way he can get away with that right??….Oh shit he’s done it twice with the meme coins….

    10. How much would it cost America to buy him out? Like what’s your price? We pay it and he legally has to fuck off and no family members get to run for anything

„Anonymous, if you’re listening…I hope you’re able to hack these servers. I think you’ll be mightily rewarded by our citizens.“

(I am aware this is not how crypto works, don’t @ me)
