      Healthy people don’t „compromise“ with people who are abusing them.

      I no longer call myself a Dem because of their compromising. I’m disabled and the right want me dead. The fact All of the Dems arent united and worried for this fascism, and some even compromise and vote WITH them has made me sour on them. Since Trump got in all I have heard is how much better it would be for the country if I was dead and I’m not even included half the time in the conversation. Identity, Sexual preference, and Race is, but disabled folk often aren’t and guess who are some of the first to be culled in a fascist regime? Not even other countries want us.

      We shouldn’t be negotiating with terrorists.

      And taking the „high road“ is not choosing „some human rights abuse“ as a middle ground between „human rights for all“ and „human rights for some“.

      The more I see of him the more I like him. He’s doing and saying the kind of things that Democrats *ought* to be right now, yet too many aren’t.

      And I say it again because it bears repeating – watch and remember what they do now, because someday they’re all going to claim that they were leading the fight against Trump, and pretend that they didn’t kiss his ass, or do shit like surrender without a shot like Chuck Schumer on the CR or invite his cronies to cozy up on their podcast like Gavin Newsom.

      It’s called appeasement. When the collateral damage of all the atrocities is tallied up, making distinctions between the appeasers, the collaborators, and the gleeful participants makes very little difference.

      When it comes to maga, every compromise just gives them another pressure point to flex on. You compromised on abortion, but they outlawed it and closed all the clinics anyways. You compromised on border security, now they are out snatching people that “fit the profile” and deporting them before you can even have a news report they were taken. Compromised on religious exemptions to vaccines, now brain worm has started a war on autism which will without a shadow of doubt lead to total vaccine ban in the fall, followed by the most brutal flu season this country will experience in a long time.

      You want to stop having the discourse creep further right? Stop letting them drag it further right.

      A lot of Democrats fall into the trap of „Paradox Tolerance“ and need to learn that we can’t be tolerant of the current Republican party as long as it is under the sway of the 34 time convicted felon.
