Musk: They keep calling me Mr. Muck!
He’s absolutely toxic for the brand. I want to eventually buy an all electric. Tesla is now forever off my list thanks to his behaviors. I know I’m not alone.
It’s just my opinion, but I don’t think the brand can ever recover after what he’s done.
Honestly, it’s a bad idea for Tesla.
Their stock is wildly over-valued. Their cars are pretty garbage compared to any of the competitors. As are their robots and ~~chat bot~~ self-driving.
The *only* thing keeping their stock up is the weird cult that has evolved around Elon. His dumb promises which never happen is all the company has. So I think firing him will collapse the company’s „value“.
Obviously, they should do it. But if I owned some of their shares I would be against it.
Edit: The bad chat bot is not Tesla’s. Elon’s shit is all so intermingled…

Anyone with common sense knows Musk is crazy and ineffective, but it’s really scary that there’s a whole board that probably can’t see that:

There’s a lot of evidence that Musk is a conman who thrives on spectacles, and there is little evidence that he has a logical and coherent vision to bring Tesla out of its slump.
In other news, I walked by a Rivian SUV a bit ago. It looks really nice and practical. Their trucks seem the same way, too. Plus, Slate will be producing stripped-down, affordable trucks for those who want that option.
I really don’t see Tesla improving their cars.

As long as he still owns TSLA stock, I will never do business with the company. I don’t care if he isn’t running it. If he profits from me doing business with TSLA, I won’t be doing business with TSLA. Pretty simple.
I was considering a Tesla before musk took over Twitter and decided to dabble in politics. I’m never looking at that brand again.

With this and the Ukraine deal I’m enjoying the positive news for once.
I know they’re not going to kick him out but the fact that he was so personally hurt by this after upending the lives of hundreds of thousands of American workers and a few million more across the globe by cutting off humanitarian aid is just great.
The richest man on Earth ruining his own life and reputation so he can ruin those of the richest country on Earth is sort of poetic.

I don’t think it would help much. At this point the damage to Tesla’s reputation is already done.
Last summer I was test driving EVs to replace my twelve year old Subaru. I test drive Tesla 3+Y along with Hyundai Ioniq 5, Genesis GV60, Polestar 2, Ford Mach E, Chevy Equinox and VW ID3. I was debating between the Tesla Y and the GV60. The Y had better range but the GV60 was much better in every other way.
The week before I was going in to get a lease my work assigned me to a project that would beat up my car for at least a year. So I decided to wait and I will be looking at the end of the year again for an EV and I will go to test drive cars again.
Guess which dealership I will not even consider going to?
We have had ours for a while now and we were considering the Model X but unless things change, we won’t buy another Tesla. One of my family members has a Lucid and after seeing the build quality we will probably get the Gravity SUV. Tesla does have a lot of nice conveniences but it’s not enough to make me stay with the brand. I feel that Tesla should stop selling cars and just put superchargers on every corner because that seems to be the one thing they mostly got right.

The only way Tesla survives is to dump Musk. He’s ruining the brand and something is clearly off with his decision making.
All these meltdowns we hear about, and yet they’re still fine enough to continue ruining our democracy.

Tesla is done. They can literally change name, restructure their entire business and all that shit just to keep going downhill. Nothing is saving it.
Is it in the cards to have a collective boycott of the phrase „melts down?“ It is so overblown and overused that I immediately assume there is nothing of substance to be read when I see it.
Even at this stage, an enormous amount of Tesla’s share value is tied up in Musk’s cult of personality. Tesla is an auto manufacturer worth more than GM, Ford, and Toyota combined despite only having a fraction of the market control those other manufacturers have. Toyota is valued at $303B and controls 11.07% of the global auto market. Tesla is worth $909B and controls 2.29% of the global auto market. In terms of liabilities, it’s not even close, either. Tesla has massive regulatory exposure in every market it exists in for everything from workplace safety violations to automotive safety defects. A huge reason for Musk’s interference in the U.S. government was so he could shut down the regulatory agencies that were poised to bring the hammer down on his companies for their many, many violations, especially Tesla.
So, you have a company that makes very little, but is valued at many times the value of their competition because of their speculative value as a „tech company“ (not a car company). When Musk and his slavishly devoted cult of personality leave the company, the speculative value Musk brings to the table leaves the share price, which even this late in the game is **most of it**. I’ll be shocked if Musk goes anywhere in Tesla. For better or worse (definitely worse), Tesla’s brand is inextricably linked to Musk.
Unfortunately for him he has to go. Tesla’s board knows that the damage is done; now that he has shown his true colors the company will not get their biggest market, liberal Democrats, back. Tesla will not make up those sales with those Republicans that support Musk, many would never consider driving any electric vehicle.
If the journalists lied he should sue them. It moved the markets on a lie, right?
Oh wait, the court process has discovery. Nevermind. Abort. Truth cannot be shown.

I used to wanted to buy a Tesla but the moment he insulted that diver that saved those peoples lives in the cave as a pedo for literally NO REASON because they weren’t using “his” machine or whatever my interest in Tesla dropped entirely in the negatives and I avoid it now like a plague.
I’m in the market for an electric and Tesla will never be considered for purchase, ever because of Musk’s behavior. They’ve got a huge branding problem with Musk still involved.
He’s poison for the brand and he needs to be removed if they want to have a chance of repairing their image—if it’s not too late already.
He has such a victim mentality even though all of the hate he is receiving is because of his own actions that absolutely *no one forced him to take.*
He could have just at least pretended to be a likeable person and made the world a better place. But instead he decides to work on overthrowing American democracy and becoming a shadow dictator because no one liked him in high school.
