    1. I just want one interview some one just ask him prices on groceries. You know he’s never shopped

This guy has never once in his life given a present to anyone. (Possible exceptions being personal blowjobs to Putin).

Dems – put it on a billboard, and put that shit up on every highway in America.

Imagine shrugging off a nationwide toy shortage with “just give them two instead of 30” while billionaires fly private and stockpile yachts. The disconnect is the real crisis.

    5. This from a man who has never struggled financially for a single day in his life, and has no idea what childhood poverty is like. I swear, there has to be a special corner in hell for this guy.

The sad thing is his base will pivot to „the children need less, send them in the fields to work so our God King can continue to shit in his golden toilet“

    7. I am genuinely curious to see how strong MAGA’s commitment is to their newfound shunning of materialism. They’re not the most self-aware bunch, and they’ve probably told themselves they can go without even though a lot of the ones I know seem to love stuff.

Americans can’t afford food and he is blathering about dolls at Christmas? Trump is a clown

    9. Wow I can’t believe this. I never thought I’d see the day that Republicans declare war on Christmas.

    10. Trump is so rich he never really understood the degree to which the modern American social contract is built off the promise of broad availability of cheap consumer goods. (it’s bad that this is the case but it is still the case)

Maga morons: he did it ! He gave us back Christmas!

Their children:well therapist,  that was the year I found out my parents loved trump more than me.

I can’t wait until this same logic is applied to bites of food per day.

“Maybe the children will have two ~~dolls~~ **healthy meals per month** instead of 30”

Amazing…”if you could afford to buy your kid 30 dolls before, now it’ll be 2. If you could already only afford 2 dolls…just…put some hair on a twig.” 🤷‍♂️😅 r/votewithyourdollar

      Official Trump policy on kids:

      > Measles good, dolls bad.

      Incredible stuff.

My day job is making toys, has been for nearly 20 years.

A massive snowball coming. His actions will impact everything while companies find new (creative) ways to import goods in order to minimize punitive external costs, and that’s something he’s very much aware of. In one way or another, our imports will still come from China. Trust me, they will.

So, it begs the question: who is this for and why? It’s not for the American people. It’s likely not for anyone you know personally. If I had to wager, I’d say it’s about a consolidation of power. Perhaps it’s more simple: ego.

Shelves will be empty. Jobs will be lost. Pain will be felt. The result he’s seeking will be at YOUR expense, without achieving what he’s claiming.

Weeks or months from now, he’ll stand on his soapbox and claim some sort of symbolic victory. The markets will roar, things will go back to some type of normal, but that’ll only come when he actually gets what he wants. Who knows when that will be, and when enough will be enough.

This isn’t about freeing ourselves from cheap international manufacturing, we’re a capitalist society, we’re designed for it, have been from the very start.

Things we produce overseas will NEVER be made here, plain and simple.

It’s all about him, his ego, and power.

Too bad he doesn’t have this same mentality for taxes on billionaires. “Maybe the billionaires, will have to settle for 2 billion instead of 30 billion”, but ya know socialism/communism/Biden/Obama

    18. mithraldolls on

and what about when toy companies sell 200,000 dolls instead of 3,000,000 and goes bankrupt? then they can have 0 toys?

    19. rapidcreek409 on

They lost their shit at Michelle Obama suggesting their kids eat a vegetable.

    20. BotherResponsible378 on

Here’s the thing. There’s an argument to be made about potential overindulgence on toys and stuff in the states.

      BUT

I’ve got a sneaking suspicion he’s talking about us, and not wealthy people. Call it a hunch.

    21. Count_JohnnyJ on

30 dolls might sound like a lot, but it’s still fewer than the number of Felonies this fuck was convicted of.

    22. I think billionaires can take two yachts instead of 30, and with that tax revenue we can invest in healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
