Jared Isaacman erhielt die Genehmigung eines wichtigen Senatsausschusses und muss nun nur eine Abstimmung der vollständigen Kammer abschließen, um eine Agentur zu führen, die sich bei der Rückkehr zum Mond im Visier hat.
Präsident Donald Trump sagte, die Führung von Herrn Isaacman werde den Weg ebnen "für bahnbrechende Erfolge" in Wissenschaft und Technologie.
Herr Isaacman gehört zusammen mit dem Elon Musk von Space X und Jeff Bezos von Amazon zu einer neuen Welle von Milliardären, die die alte Ordnung im Weltraum in Frage gestellt haben. Sie haben das Innovationstempo beschleunigt und zielen darauf ab, die Kosten der menschlichen Raumfahrt drastisch zu senken.
Es wird erwartet, dass er bei der NASA dasselbe tut, dessen Weltraumprogramme von Betreibern des privaten Sektors als verschwenderisch und oft erheblich über das Budget angesehen werden.

Hopefully he’ll learn how to answer questions honestly at some point instead of being blatantly evasive.
I think it was a mistake taking this job, Isaacman should have just continued the Polaris program. I don’t neccessarily think he is bad for the position, I just think that he had something really cool in his hands that he left unfinished. Should have just left the position to somebody else.
