      The US treats Democrats like the woman of a relationship and the Republicans like the men. Men are allowed to be lazy/deadbeats, use crass language, etc because society expects that of them. If Democrats do the same thing, they’re shrill, they’re insulting/“unladylike,“ etc. Society expects them to be better caretakers and the Republicans get the equivalent of „ah, babysitting duty today eh?“

      One of the things to keep in mind is that the job of a Republican mouthpiece, whether elected or in the media, is to always be moving the goal posts. It’s part of their strategy to whittle down resistance as they continue to march towards their ultimate goal of total control.

      Of course you read a headline like this and it is immediately infuriating and exhausting. But in reality, this is just another early effort to start to make their viewers think, „You know what? Maybe the government *should* start to control at least *some* speech.“ And before long we’ll see citizens shipped to foreign gulag’s for cussing.
