Now I understand why there are negative views about pakistanis. Probably all the shitty people attributed to Pakistan were indians pretending to be Pakistanis. That country and their people are something else.

i don’t think we do have somehow a negativity against indians. yes, azerbaijani appreciate pakistan because it’s an ally and tend to be more friendly against pakistanis, but saying that we hate indians – that’s just not true. from my point of view we are very neutral
Turkish person is here! I have heard similiar problem with Indonesians. Some of the Indonesian tourists has learnt that we tend to more kind and helpful toward people from turkic countries. Because of that some of them introduce themselves as uzbek.
Azerbaijanis don’t „hate Indians to their guts“. Can you find racist people in Azerbaijan? Yes. And in my experience, Azerbaijanis who are racist against Indians are racist against Pakistanis as well. Because race of Northern Indians and Pakistanis is basically exactly the same, lol.
This is the first time I come across anything like this. The only similar thing I ever heard was an Azerbaijani person who introduced herself as Turkish, because she genuinely got tired of explaining ignorant people what Azerbaijan is.
