DOJ might not be able to prosecute Trump due to that Nixon-era policy memo, but I’d have a good laugh if Canada did for election interference.
I’m probably biased by my observations in an area that caters to snowbirds, but I sincerely believe that Trump doen’t understand or accept 1% of the amount that Canadians are fed up with him.
Rather than use the derivative „I did that!“ stickers here and there, it would be clearer, though possibly more expensive due to how ubiquitous they are, to use the Canadian „T“ to label ALL of the shelves of goods affected by Trump’s tariffs.
I hope Canada doesn’t fuck up like how we did.

Something I discovered is that the right wing of Canada basically had this election hand to them on a silver platter, until Trump stepped in.
The conservative candidate was supposed to win by Landslide. I think the last poll I saw he was at like 30 points, but that was before Trump started sticking his nose and places it didn’t belong. Now they say it’s a dead heat.

As a Canadian I have never been more worried about a federal election outcome in my lifetime. If Canada votes Maple MAGA in, I am in the traitor province and I will be super irritated if I have to move.
It’s wild how PP is dissembling. We all know that a vote for PP is a vote for Donald.
The problem is, the more Donald tries to interfere the more Canadians will vote for the party they believe will resist Donald’s influence.

This has effected the Australian election as well. Our right wing party seemed to think Australians love Trump and his policies and are wearing MAGA hats and using their slogans. It has led to a swing to the centre left party who look like they will win the election this week. Trump is a huge turnoff for voters in other countries who don’t get their information from Fox News.
Trump is just obviously setting up so if the conservatives win he can claim it’s because of him.

Yep. Canadian here. Can confirm. Hard core right wing full on Canadian mini-Trump Maga asshat Pierre Pouvier was coasting to an easy 20 point win a couple months ago. Then Trump does his 51st state/tariff thing and now we have a hope. Honestly I think it’s still a long shot. But we at least have some hope of avoiding the dark path towards a US Style authoritarian hellscape.
If Pierre Poilievre had any cojones at all, he’d refer to the orange man child as „Donald“, the same way Justin Trudeau did.

Trump single-handedly engineered the largest and most rapid collapse of a political party’s fortunes in Canadian history.
The Cons had a consistent 20–25 point lead in every poll for at least a year. The Liberal party was in danger of losing official party status (fewer than 12 seats). It all melted away in less than 2 months.
And it very much looks like Pierre Poilievre, the weird Conservative leader, is going to lose the seat in parliament that he’s kept warm for about a thousand years… he was the prime unflushable turd of Canadian politics until trump’s reverse Midas Touch (merde touch?) flushed him.
