      I work in a corporate office and the mood has been tense. Higher ups have started asking for project lists and job descriptions, probably preparing to scale back and layoff workers. Business is already declining and soon inflation and higher interest rates are going to kick in.

      When the consequences of the tariffs hit they’re going to hit hard. This is a good moment to remind everyone that MAGA won’t have a mass awakening. There won’t be a “find out” moment. At most, some of them will quite quit. If Trump wrecks the economy they will just become more desperate and therefor more devoted to their cult leader. Don’t plan on them to call on their party to do the right thing. It will be up to the adults in the room to fix this mess.
