Trumps zweite Amtszeit wird die schlimmste Amtszeit des Präsidenten aller Zeiten sein – tragischerweise ist die zweite Amtszeit des Präsidenten bereits gesetzloser und autoritärer als jede andere in der US -Geschichte

    1. Trump will have his own special place in history. Too weak to be up there with the great authoritarians, too self centered to be a great leader. Appallingly dumb and utterly incapable of speaking without grandiose lies.

Buddy bush literally started 2 wars. Won an election of a Supreme Court case. Passed the patriot act and had Abu ghraib and Guantanamo. Trump wishes he could be as bad as bush.

    3. so in the US the amount of authoritarianism is on a scale compared to past administrations? So not that crushing people rights are bad all the time it’s just the amount of bad this time compared to previous bad?

    4. So, I expected that I would really enjoy this newest installment of South Part when Cartman impersonated Mr Garrison to get elected but it is getting a little too dark.

Im pretty much convinced at this point a 2nd Great Depression and or some stupid country invasion is around the corner.

It’s surprising that there isn’t one secret service agent who wants to be the hero who helped save the nation. Not advocating anything, of course.

It’s not like everyone wasn’t duly warned. But nope. We have to let everything play out before people even begin to realize we made a huge ass mistake.

    8. A convicted felon who said he would be a dictator on day one, pardon his criminal associates, and weaponize the judicial system to go after his enemies is acting in a lawless way.

Who could have ever predicted this?

Genuinely shocked at how authoritarian our federal government has become and seemingly everyone is just… okay with it. We have never experienced times like this as a nation, this is not progress.

There’s debate over Trump’s first term… Worst or 4th worst?

This term will be,the worst… 100x worse than 2nd worse

I don’t think there is any valid argument that he is trying to helpthe average American

I wish we had a rule limiting what type of “This Will Be Bad” articles can be posted. We fucking know.

This is not a slight against OP.

I think it’s really important to remember that this is something the Americans chose.

There’s a lot of takeaways here. Get to know the Americans.

How about we just impeach him and remove him as quickly as possible? We only need like 20 people to make that happen. Why is nobody willing to talk about this? The circle of people that want Democrats to fight is almost entirely within the circle of people that are afraid to even hope for an effective end to this corrupt incompetence.

You have to envision a possible future before you make it a reality. You have to believe it’s possible. But we’re still at the point where nobody is even willing to say that impeachment and removal is what they want, what they think would be good, what should happen. Safer to say it’s not going to happen. Feels cooler. Right now the cowardice in congress is exceeded by the cowardice in the comments. I understand that it’s unlikely, that it’s a long shot, but you can’t say you’re fighting if you’re not even willing to hope for a better future. Let’s stop trying to envision exactly how bad it will be and start trying to change the trajectory. The first step to getting him impeached is getting clear public support for impeachment. That means you.

      P. S. Don’t bother telling me that Vance would be worse. You’ll just embarrass yourself. If Vance were elected with the kind of support Trump had then maybe he would be worse. But Vance sitting in the Oval after congress turned on Trump and removed him from office would not be able to do nearly as much damage as Trump is doing now. Impeachment and removal is the path.

    14. “Tragically” feels like an understatement. I think “Horrifyingly” would have worked nicely

I’ll still argue Bush lying us into two wars did more harm that we are still learning the effects of. It will take a couple decades to realize which was worse.

      Everyone was warned, repeatedly!!

This was a failure of our media treating him like this was traditional politics instead of doing their job of warning of the actual danger to our country.

I guess there’s also something to be said about our country being stuck in the past and sexism, unable to vote for Kamala, even though she was a million time better than Trump.

    17. Trump has no respect for our laws. He is a convicted felon, found guilty on 34 counts of fraud while running his business. He did not make his money honestly and ripped of banks, governments, companies and hard working people. Trump and his gang if thugs create illegal executive orders the courts are shooting down. The MAGA fools have been burned but continue to support him believing his lies. He has created more enemies than friends. We have a gangster, a proven criminal, running our country and nothing good coming if it. What did we expect?

    18. Hubert_J_Cumberdale on

In the very near future, stories like this will be illegal for US media to publish.

    19. The only thing that surprises me about it is how fast it’s going. I definitely didn’t expect that three months into his term, he would’ve dismantled SO much and that things would be collapsing SO hard. I definitely thought it would take longer.

    20. Just a reminder that we have the power to stop and remove him from office today. Put pressure on your local Congress representatives (house and senate) to actually do something. Don’t say ‚they’re republican and they’ll never do something.‘ or ‚they’re democrats and doing what they can‘. Just make the calls and keep the pressure on their necks.

    21. Sure, that’s easy to say now when it’s too soon to compare to the results of his 3rd term.

    22. One day I’ll have to cover American history with my child…the chapter on Trump is going to read like some fucked up fiction.

    23. >Trump’s second term will be the worst presidential term *so far*

Well, let’s see if he gets a third. Also, you have got ~3,66 yers to go for his current term.

Little reminder that the Nazis were only in power for 12 years.

    24. Worst part is Americans won’t do anything about it. Always claiming 2A was in place to rise up against a corrupt government, yet … here you are. What are you waiting for?

    25. TheSpaceman1975 on

Yeah, are we gonna define second term? Because this dude ain’t leaving the White House. Unfortunately tyranny doesn’t accept defeat. There is no way this is a single term. America has no footing.

    26. Gyavos999LOTNW on

History will remember this scumbag quite differently from his wishes.

    27. Asleepingin on

And despite all the hate we are all just sitting here waiting for him to finish hoping it will be ok rather than doing whatever we can to throw him out of office.

    28. Our descent into authoritarianism is heartbreaking to many of us, but calling it a tragedy lets those who chose him off the hook. I have no empathy for the MAGAts who voted for him. This is what they wanted.

    29. inksmudgedhands on

And somewhere in Hell Nixon is lounging back and smoking a really big cigar. Congrats on becoming a footnote, sir.
