Last Wednesday night I spent about 4 or 5 hours in the dark skies near Wānaka, New Zealand, I stumbled across this little spot about a 20 minuet drive out from the main township along the shore of Lake Hāwea called “The neck”

This image is a focus stack/ panorama with the images consisting of 3 foreground shots taken at iso 800, f1.8 and 55” each and 12 sky images taken at iso 1600, f1.8 and 15” each, I then applied lens profiles and denoised each image and stacked/ stitched the images into a panorama in photoshop where I did some star minimisation and applied the final touches to get it to where it is now. All images were taken on an untracked, unmodified Sony a7 iii and Viltrox 16mm
