Though confidence in Trump’s ability to manage the economy was a key selling point to many voters in the November election, 76% of participants said they disapprove of how he’s handling it, the survey said.
While 45% said their personal finances are in good shape, 44% expect to be hurt personally by his economic policies.
Around 52% disapproved Trump’s suggestion to U.S. citizen to prison in El Salvador, the Times/Siena poll reported.
Around 47% opposed the administration’s decision to roll back diversity, equity and inclusion programs, and 58% opposed with holding federal funding from certain universities, the survey reported.
Musk has lower approval rating than Trump, poll reports
The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, also received a low approval rating during his stint spearheading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) alongside Trump.
The Tesla CEO and presidential adviser received an approval rating of just 35%, the survey reported, with skeptics split a consistently across gender, age, racial and educational demographics.
Survey conductors asked participants twice about the DOGE cuts, once mentioning Musk’s name and again without, according to the Times. Responders were more fond of the cuts when they didn’t hear the name “Musk.”
Trump’s 100th day in office is on Wednesday, April 30.

I think the worst part is still to come. Burning down the government, tariffs, threats, and raids will cost America billions if not trillions.
It’s so frustrating waiting for the back of the room to catch up. Sigh…I suspect it will take a few more pay periods, and a few more weeks of grocery bills being 30% higher to wake up those folks who have been snoozing through this lecture so far.

Why isn’t this 100%?
As if all of this wasn’t obvious and that Kamala Harris hasn’t already warned everyone, word from word, MANY times, that this is exactly what is going to happen, and as if he didn’t already try to do much of the very things he is doing now from his first time as President.
Kamala Harris wasn’t perfect, but the choice was THAT obvious. Right in your face bad breath smelling point-blank obvious, yet America didn’t want her to win either by voting for Trump, voting for Jill Stein, or not voting at all. The most minimal requirement to save this country’s shred of freedom and safety they had, and the people just threw it away and let it be thrown away. All because of lack of empathy, laziness, and because this is a a Black Indian woman. That’s all it essentially was, no matter what people wanna make up reasons why she lost or why they didn’t vote her or anyone at all. Never mind that being a Democrat itself is already very hard due to even one flaw suddenly making them reprehensible in comparison to someone like TRUMP.
I’m sorry to say that this country deserves him. If only everyone that voted for Kamala Harris (or wanted to but were actually unable to do so) AND still believed in her as being completely better than Trump were able to leave there.

Sooo, that means somewhere around 26% of Americans know he’s hurting them financially, but are okay with it because of what he promises to do to brown people and liberals. (And about 25% are just *aching* for the next 1000-year Reich.)

Remember that the entire Republican Party owns this for not taking the keys away from him. Billionaires and CEOs of giant corporations own this for choosing to support him for profit, and failing to speak out publicly against him. Racists and bigoted goons all across this country own this for caring more about oppressing the powerless over their own well-being.
This is not an indictment of one man. It’s a bigger sickness. . . and when he finally dies and they try to pin it all on him alone, we cannot ever forget that they are all to blame. Their power hungry hubris and unending exploitative greed.
The Republican Party is at fault. Not just Trump.
Who are the other 25%? Besides the small fraction of billionaires and multimillionaires that are in his circle, we can only assume they’re complete morons.

Wait until the shelves are empty in two weeks, already starting to see this at Costco apples are now $11 for 4lbs, normally they are $4.49 for 3lbs. There were only 4 bags. Other fruit selections were empty also.
articles like this need to stop. I get that people want to feel like voters have regret over a decision. but this is the kind of stuff that leads to low voter turnout, we tell ourselves that everybody regrets it so we believe the same thing won’t happen again.
These polls are not effective. The reporting on them is less than effective.
Today I learned that 24% of the US is totally brainwashed by the 1%.
Well, that’s a wake up call if anyone needed one.
When everyone has decided Trump is bad for their finances, we may also want to discuss why Trump is bad for democracy, the constitution and citizens rights.
That number is interesting… about 70% of the population leans centrist/left. You will almost always see a 70/30 skew when polling nationwide for pretty much any progressive causes. So seeing 75% means that the more conservative group is starting to disapprove as well. That’s genuinely surprising.
