Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a Cabinet Committee on Security meeting following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, attended by ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and others. Singh condemned the attack, vowed a strong response, and expressed condolences. Shah visited victims in Anantnag and the attack site in Pahalgam. India suspended the Indus Water Treaty, closed the Attari border, banned Pakistani nationals under the SAARC visa scheme, expelled Pakistani defense advisors, and withdrew Indian advisors from Islamabad. An all-party meeting is planned for April 24. Modi’s Bihar event will proceed without ceremony due to the attack.
