Upvoting this post will earn you a life sentence in prison per Pam Bondi

Doing what exactly? Overseeing the development of Full Self Driving which would be feature complete by the end of this year (said 5-6 years ago)? He has a degree in engineering? He’s getting daily status reports? Yeah that went well.

His job was to get up on stage and lie, direct fake videos, and try to get that stock valuation up and hope the technology would fall into their laps I guess.

    3. I’m sure that will help and potentially save Tesla, but I’m not so sure anyone who currently is avoiding Tesla is going to love Elon Musk after he leaves DOGE. Many of those customers simply won’t return. I think Tesla’s position in the market is permanently damaged by his shenanigans, even if this isn’t fatal.

Does he have any skills that are relevant to Tesla? Wasn’t their worst vehicle the one he was most involved with? Why would they want MORE of him?!?

    5. The brand is probably too tarnished for him to do anything except distance himself from it.

This is such a dumb take, he ruined the company well before even politics and his name being tied to the company is not doing it any favors. Their board needs to remove Musk not bring him back.

Maybe Elon should have spent more time building up Tesla instead of destroying the government.

    8. His companies run better when he is busy elsewhere. It’s not like he is doing anything meaningful there, he just bought them. Just like the US government.

What happens to DOGE without Musk? Is there a second in command?

„Hitler should have returned to painting after eliminating large chunks of the population so people can like him again“

His reputation is forever ruined. No matter what he does

    11. Too fucking late, you think him taking a hands on approach will do what? Its not the caompany that sucks, its him.

the brand damage is still done no matter what he does. the board has got to boot him out if they really want to course correct.

The only way he saves Tesla is to resign from Tesla and become a silent shareholder. As long as he puts himself out front, the brand will suffer.

A 71% drop in profit? That’s not even the worst part. The real problem is that the name Elon Musk has become an enormous intangible liability to Tesla, actively holding back its market potential, which means the company’s valuation is effectively done. But the most critical threat is cash flow: the lifeline that will ultimately decide Tesla’s fate.

This earnings call is pretty insane. Basically making the case that he is saving the country at the expense of his companies, that only he can do it and will continue to do it as long as the president allows him to do so, that all the pushback is paid organizing whether they admit it or not (with no proof) and Tesla is the most important and eventually most valuable company in the world by far…as much as the next 4-5 companies combined.

Guy is so full of shit and it’s crazy to me the stock keeps going up after hours while people listen to his BS

    16. Elon Musk is the major reason why Tesla is struggling and sales falling off a cliff, and you want to bring him back FULL TIME? Genius.

    17. Can’t put that genie back in the bottle I’m afraid. Tesla is done. It might take a while for it all to finish collapsing in on itself, but they’re done.

Tesla is pretty much doomed because of Elon and his exposure over the last 2 years.
He has become a liability for the company.
Elon used to entice investment by promising innovation and vision to investors and the general public.
He truly had that Steve Jobs charisma that was needed to get both the public as well as the investors to believe in an idea that was not quite a reality but was just around the corner and about to pay off big, both for the investors and for the green movement, that was and is still sweeping across the planet.
The problem now is that Elon has been exposed as a snake oil salesman who not only can not deliver on his mission statements but also had no intention of doing so in the first place.
Elon has a much more sinister goal.
His goal is to become a world dictator. If not ,the world’s dictator.
He built his house of cards by aligning himself with those who can facilitate his immediate objectives without having to be held accountable.
Elon knows his time to sieze power is slipping away fast and he will do whatever is necessary to try and hold on. This is a man who really is loyal to no one or no country. He will sell out the US and The Donald to other people like himself who wish to enslave the people of this world to both stay powerful and safe from prosecution.
What Elon represents is not new or unique.
Elon is nothing more than an emperor without clothes.

    19. The damage is already done. Him going back to work won’t change peoples opinion on him

how do they announce 71% drop in earnings but their futures are trading up… fucking meme stock.

    21. This is a misleading title. He is **required by law**, due to his Special Government Employee status, to step down after 120 days. I have a sneaking suspicion that he will act as though he is quitting due to Tesla’s decline, but that will not be the case. He is required to step down anyway. I hope Americans don’t fall for this, as it was always part of the plan. This was the only way he was able to do what he did without Senate approval or submitting disclosure forms.
