How do they follow a crazy bastard? trump has obviously lost it. They coddle him so they can use him.

    2. 3 months in, imagine how it will be at midterms.

My ultra maga uncle keeps saying wait and see. He’s confident this is all a plan and we’ll be eating crow by the end of it.

      The faith is astounding.

    3. Newsmax is advertising on YouTube right now. They want people to answer three questions:

Do you think Trump is doing a good job.
Who did a better job Joe or Donald.
Do you approve of the economy under Trump.

I couldn’t submit the results because I didn’t sign in with my email. It stated it would not count. Hmmmmm..

This is such wish casting. He will always have a bedrock strong base.

I know so many people that were willing to admit that the guy was a grade-A piece of human fucking garbage, but were going to vote for him anyways to „protect their pocket book“. I lowkey could stand to watch them lose a bit more before we kick his ass to the curb

The Republican Party should have the same mouth feel of a modern Nazi party. Even if we manage to survive all of this and are able to right the ship we must never forget what the republicans have shown us in terms of what they’re capable of.

Finally. All we can do is hope it sticks. But cult members love the cult.

    8. MrFeverDreamJr on

No it doesn’t. These are cope articles put out to keep us hopeful. Republicans still support this ghoulish conman.

    9. J-the-Kidder on

Doesn’t matter. They’re actively working on ensuring they don’t need votes to stay in power. Between disenfranchisement, suppression, intimidation, gerrymander and then outright illegality after losing, support from the base is the last thing they truly care about.

    10. Sensationalized headline. The Republicans are too chicken shit to turn their backs on him.

I have literally been seeing news stories like this since 2016. “Don’t worry republicans are coming around.” Bullshit. Why is this a constant thing? I think maybe to get people to be complacent?

Reality: republicans, republican voters, are in deep in the cult as -ever-. If anything republican media has a tighter control on them than ever.

This is not a time to sit back. You need to stand up and fight. Republicans are sealing in their control.

Scroll back through news stories here on r/politics. A variation of “don’t worry republicans are coming around” has been circulating since 2016. It is not true.

Do not sit back and relax. Stand up and fight harder.

The truth of a matter is, his support caved a while back. They’re just too afraid to actually act upon anything.

    13. Comprehensive_Davo on

Wake me up when they get serious about impeaching him. Anything short of that, they’re complicit

    14. heidismiles on

I have always been Democrat/progressive, but I was always open to voting for a Republican if they seemed like the better option.

Never again. It’s their unanimous and unwavering support of Trump and everything he does. I will never trust the party, or anyone in it.

    15. Pohlerbears on

Kick the legs out from under the table. Who supports him? Who has project 2025 hitting all its marks? Take the pillars out and the whole thing crumbles.

    16. It only took him directly saying that SCOTUS was making his job hard by holding him to the Constitution, the law, after his orders caused violation of Due Process for many people and after attempts to obscure and obstruct the justices from stopping those violations.

It’s taken such obvious attacks on the economy to barely even scratch people’s understanding of the situation we’re in, and most people are still quick to jump to anything that doesn’t make them look like fools for voting for him.

    17. SupernovaCowboy on

No it isn’t, we’ve been blasted with headlines like this for 10 years now and everytime he continues on

    18. I keep seeing these stories, but until I actually see DJT face any consequences within his party, I don’t believe these headlines. He has never been held accountable in the past, and I’m afraid that he is not going to in the future.

    19. RIPCurrants on

Bullshit. GOP Congress and Senate support him each day. Until they impeach his ass and throw him out of office, they are supporting him. These headlines suggesting otherwise are nonsense. Until the Republicans in Congress prove otherwise, GOP is the party of Trump.

    20. improvisedwisdom on

How many times has this headline come out over the years?

      Such a lie.

    21. CreakingDoor on

Honestly I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ve heard this one before.

Even if they say they don’t like him in public, guarantee you they’d vote for him and his in private. Entirely sure these articles do nothing but galvanise them.

    22. knockoffsuperhero on

Three types of people voted for Donny Dipshit, the gullible, the stupid, and the morally corrupt. No exceptions.
