Hundreds of new immigration judges and courts would have been operational, thousands of added border patrol would have been on hand and things like ‚E-verify‘ would have already been implemented decades ago, if Republicans hadn’t blocked it.

What other parts of the Constitution will Trump selectively choose to enforce? It will be the ones that empower him. Free speech, right to assemble, right to bear arms, the right to worship your way, and the right to vote could be next. His oath of office does not give exceptions about defending the Constitution.

It handled John Wayne Gacy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and Ted Bundy.
It handled Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, Ted Kaczynski, and Ramzi Yousef.
When did the American legal system become ineligible to try terrorism and gang and murder cases? There are laws on the books we can try them for breaking. There’s no reason to pretend we can’t. We absolutely can! We not only have the capacity to, we have the *duty* to.

Yes, the US can give them all hearings and/or trials because all individuals have a right to due process according to the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments. It just will cost millions of dollars. Money that would pay the federal worker’s who lost their jobs and other things the federal government’s doge has cut.
