>Israeli Defense Forces Spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on his Twitter account this evening, Tuesday: “Earlier today, an IAF aircraft attacked the Qana area in southern Lebanon and eliminated Khader Hashem, who served as commander of the naval forces in Hezbollah’s Radwan Force and was involved in activities against the State of Israel and its citizens.”

>Adraee added: “Hashem joined Hezbollah two decades ago and held a series of positions within the organization. As part of his position as commander of the Radwan Naval Force, he played a broad role in transferring naval combat equipment to Hezbollah and in planning Hezbollah’s naval operations against the State of Israel and its citizens, even during ceasefires.”

>Adraee concluded: “Hashem’s activities posed a threat to the State of Israel and its citizens and a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”
