Just asked my grandparents, they don’t know what that is, they’re saying maybe it’s German but that’s just their opinion. Hopefully somebody on this sub knows!

    2. Asked my mom and she has no idea, she said there used to be loads of different student clubs back in the day and maybe that’s an emblem from one of those clubs but that’s just speculation. Handel is German for trade though, so it might not have anything to do with Lithuania.

Opera AI does not know much also:

The badge you describe – a silver triangular badge with green enamel, a white eagle, intertwined letters „PH,“ and the date „5.VI.1929“ – is difficult to identify definitively without further information. The provided search results offer clues but don’t provide a conclusive answer. The date suggests it’s likely from the late 1920s. The eagle and „PH“ monogram could represent a variety of things, possibly an organization, a person’s initials, or a location. More context is needed, such as where the badge was found, any accompanying markings or inscriptions, or any information about its previous owner. With additional details, a more precise identification might be possible.

Might be worth to write to museum and ask [https://www.vdkaromuziejus.lt/](https://www.vdkaromuziejus.lt/)

Very interesting. Looks like it could be anything from military related badges to school graduation gift. I’ll try and ask around.

    5. Asked chatGPT:

This is a Polish scouting badge (harcerstwo), most likely commemorative in nature.

      Symbolism:

Eagle: This is the Polish white eagle, Poland’s national emblem.

Letters „P“ and „H“: These stand for „Polska Harcerstwo“ or more formally, Polska Organizacja Harcerska, which is the Polish Scouting Organization.

Green triangle: Typical for scouting, symbolizing nature and outdoor activity.

„DZ HANDL.“: Likely short for „DzieÅ„ Handlowy“ (Trade Day) or possibly Dzielnica Handlowa (Trade District), possibly referencing a location or event.

„5.VI.1929“: The date – June 5th, 1929 – likely the date of a scouting event or commemoration.

    6. If this picture were shown without context, i would had said „this is Slytherin’s badge for sure!“
