    1. They keep trying to dig up dirt on him like that would justify ignoring his constitutional rights.

I don’t care what kind of father, partner, worker, driver, etc. he is. I care that the government used due process and not a racist vibe check to assess the claims made against him.

Just like every fucking „bombshell“ from this administration.

      >“Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a MS-13 gang member, illegal alien from El Salvador, and suspected human trafficker,“ Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement accompanying the report. „The facts reveal he was pulled over with eight individuals in a car on an admitted three-day journey from Texas to Maryland with no luggage. The facts speak for themselves, and they reek of human trafficking.“

Yeah, how about we give them due process where you have to actually fucking prove it instead of using Bulls gear and low IQ police for intel. Fucking hell.

    3. a_little_hazel_nuts on

A speeding ticket. All this hate and anger calling Kilmar a gang member and human trafficker for a speeding ticket.

    4. throwawaylol666666 on

I’m pretty sure speeding on I-40 with a “suspicious” number of people in the vehicle isn’t punishable by a life sentence in the gulag. This smear campaign is looking more and more pathetic every day.

    5. > Trump, during a news conference at the White House on Friday, said: „You’re talking about Abrego Garcia—he is an illegal alien, MS-13 gang member, and foreign terrorist. This comes from the State Department and very legitimate sources, I assume. I’m just giving you what they handed to me, but this is supposed to be certified stuff.“

“I’m just reading random papers. I really don’t know anything”

      What a leader! 🥰🥰

I know people are gonna think that I’m making this up but I’m totally not; speeding on the highway by itself without any other infraction is not even a good enough reason for a state patrolman to search your vehicle.

The government sounds like Dwight Schrute investigating a roach in the parking lot.

    8. I would love to see the look on the MAGA’s face when he/she is deported for being poor.

FOX News has reported that Mr. Garcia was also reported to have been observed driving with the interior dome light on.

    10. The bigger „wrong“ may be just how easily the
      deportation „offense,“ was crafted.
Yes, I believe Mr. Garcia was wrongly deported.
I am also worried about the „ease“ with which
DHS determined „this man ( wrongfully being
accused of being a gang member ), was
smuggling illegal aliens ~ and that defines him
      as a human trafficker.“
      >> So, is there no truth involved with the DHS
traffic stop?? Why? How? What is the truth?

    11. Your life CAN be ruined by a simple traffic stop.

We rarely err on the side of the „criminal“. We’re so eager to use the rules to bash people that we overlook the net good someone is to the community. It should be noted that this is worse the lower down in „class“ of society you go. People towards the top are almost always granted favor that they are „pillars of the community“ and should have lesser sentences or punishments and people towards the bottom are always thugs and criminals that deserve to have the book thrown at them because they are here illegally or were caught with a broken taillight.

Never mind the systemic problems we have with law enforcement where bullies with an axe to grind CAN and WILL use their power to make the people they don’t like suffer.

And THAT only makes law enforcement an adversarial group to people like myself who won’t tolerate bullies and won’t get support because they form that wall around their colleagues who engage in bad behavior and then wonder why people don’t respect law enforcement more.

EVERYONE should get due process. Law Enforcement deciding who gets it and who doesn’t is one of the worst forms of authoritarianism I can think of. It makes murder, slavery, torture, and incarceration, state-sanctioned.

    12. Took a look at the reporting on this from our “sister sub” that I can’t link to anymore. They’re completely missing the point and are trying to say we don’t care if he’s proven to be a criminal or not, and of course I’m not able to reply and correct them.

If he turns out to be as evil as they claim him to be, so be it, charge him with a crime and give him a TRIAL. That’s the fucking point. He has never been found guilty of a crime (aside from his initial border crossing). Anything else, without a trial, is here say.

The Supreme Court had access to every bit of data on this man as can possibly exist and they still unanimously ordered him returned.

So, you just let eight ‚illegals‘ go free? Who knows how many rapes and murders these tattooed gang members committed upon the American people? ^/s This statement/these accusations are what ‚reeks‘. These people as SO fucking evil.

All the negative press about Kilmar seems to be dear leader’s attempt at making the people lose their empathy for him. Any little negative thing to be able to justify this BS. I’m a citizen but not by birth. This shit scares the fuck outta me. But hey it’s what you gringos wanted right? At least everybody’s MAGA uncle wanted. But at least he showed to vote 🤷🏻‍♂️

“Tuttle? His name is Buttle. There must be some mistake. ”

      “We don’t make mistakes. “

When combined with authoritarian tendencies, it is even scarier in a dystopian way. Like Brazil or Idiocracy.

We can’t even figure out how to make credit reports 100% accurate or prevent identity theft. It gets worse when overzealous enforcers favor bad data over the due process supposedly guaranteed by our Constitution.

    16. This isn’t about Abrego Garcia. It’s about the midterms next year. Trump needs his base to stay terrified of immigrants. Remember, he tanked the bipartisan immigration bill last year because he wanted to use the issue in the election. He knows if he loses the House to the Democrats all is lost for him. It’s why he’s parading Patty Morin before every camera he can… and why he’s turning Abrego Garcia into an MS13 terrorist. And it’s also why his minions are all over social media – he needs to keep the idea alive that he is taking dangerous criminals off the streets. But… this is about way more than immigration. I do not want a government that has the power to ignore the courts and kidnap/disappear people without due process… that is the narrative Democrat MUST control.

    17. He could be the worst monster in the world, and he should still get his day in court. Hell, we let Trump get his day, and he’s done far worse crimes and damage to this country than Garcia ever could…

    18. All this shows is how desperate the Trump Injustice Department is to change the narrative. They will do anything, say anything to justify suspending due process, not just for „illegals“, but for anyone defending our consititutional rights, including U.S. citizens. They’re fucking around, and they’re finding out that we aren’t the pushovers they bargained for.

    19. If they wanted to put this to rest. All they would have to do is put him on a public trial and present their evidence of him being in MS13.

Prove all of us, incompetent and stupid publicity.

    20. I seriously doubt the Trump administration had any effin‘ clue this had happened until after they had deported the man.

They dug this up after the fact to try to justify breaking the law and defying the Supreme Court.

These people are evil. There is no other way to describe it.

    21. fistofthefuture on

I might get downvoted for this, but it could be gang related or a speeding ticket – it shouldn’t fucking matter.

You get your day in court to prove who you are and your innocence. The federal government, and more specifically, the executive branch, can’t just ship you away to a foreign prison without due process. Don’t take the bait where we argue what he went to jail for, the problem is that he was taken without due process, not that this was all over a speeding ticket.
