Trump argumentierte, dass die Ölpreise gesunken sind, Lebensmittel, einschließlich Eiern, gesunken sind und die USA „auf Tarrifs reich werden“. Er sagte, Powell hätte die Zinssätze wie die europäische Zentralbank senken und sie jetzt senken sollten.
„Powells Kündigung kann nicht schnell genug kommen!“ fügte er hinzu.

I stopped believing anything Trump ever says all the way back during Birthergate. Remember that? It was Trump’s first foray into politics and it was based in an easily disproven racist lie. The lesson Trump learned from that is that he can spew lies and nonsense and a large percentage of people will simply believe what he says without bothering to verify it.
What I learned, almost 20 years ago now, was that Trump is a liar and I should never believe anything he says. In all that time, he hasn’t done ONE SINGLE THING to prove me wrong.
