Fat €14K? Is a living wage that low in Malta? And how many hours a week is full time including Saturday?

Migrant workers are depressing wages and working conditions. Very predictable.

Hey, my first job in IT was 13k back in 2015 and I had an HND

This is the result of illegal migration. A migrant will work for food, you cannot compete.

That is shockingly low… I suppose it’s double where I live now

Although that’s a shit wage, kudos to them for having the guts publishing the salary. A lot of job boards do not post any salary. Which to my knowledge is illegal

Believe it or not this is the actual legal min wage in Malta! 7€ an hour! I know cleaners from the Philippines at my workplace who earn 5€/h and that’s totally legal. Malta needs to up the minimum wage now, however this isn’t possible since Malta is built upon this predatory system. All the south East Asians working for this hunger wage, absolutely depressing.

Yeah that’s thanks to all the immigrants willing to work for shit wages

I gave up last year, I have few recruiters messaging me for sous chef head chef roles, and after asking me what wage I want, and never hear from them again.
I ask for 26-30k net as a sous chef, and 30-35k net as a head chef. Comparing outside of Malta a chef de partie makes around 26-34k net per year……
I am hard working and actually do my own pastry too fine dining food with a nearly A+ in fine dining course, in which I had greatly positive feedback from customers 97% in which positive, and 3% of which weren’t negative but just good.
Not sure anymore if there are any genuine people who would like to invest in some of the best workers anymore.
I have mostly companies from Florida, and California checking my profile, and some in Europe. I will probably accept an offer overseas if it comes with a good package, kind of done.

There is nothing „fat“ about 14k 😂

If you don’t like it, you can ignore the listing and earn money on your own. Clowns

At least they list the wage, imagine finding out during the interview.

Is a firm kick in the crotch included with the position?

I have experience, running several multimillion superstores and you want someone to work full time for 14k a year! 6€ an hour! I’ll take my ‚experience‘ elsewhere thank you 🤣
