According to reports from Bloomberg, China has told its airlines to stop taking deliveries of Boeing jets in response to President Donald Trump’s decision to slap 145% tariffs on Chinese goods.
Kimbal Musk weighed in on the situation, saying what some might be thinking but few have said out loud.
“Boeing is now cancelled in China. The great decoupling begins. Or so it seems.“

While COMAC is about a decade away from being able to manufacture most of its components domestically, it does give them a new captive market to grow into for larger jets than the C919. Airbus will still have some market in China but given that aircraft orders are often several years from order to delivery, I wonder if decoupling is even feasible for both China and the US in the next few years.

Well, time to change that.
5000 years for China huh? Well, if USA wants to scratch 500, they need to own, or dominate at least, their own manufacturing

How about we stop caring about what Kimball Musk has to say about anything.

idk if this is good or bad, but it’s kind of crazy to think that a Boeing jet plane depends on 10,000 parts manufactured in China, considering the amount of counterfeit products coming from China.
