They speak as if they represent the Turkish Cypriots. They only represent turkey and the illegal settlers so that the island becomes part of turkey and a strategic military base. Don’t believe these puppets. We will defend our sovereignty.

Yeah, Turkey’s plan was obvious. Put no effort at all into solving the issue and just keep on stalling so most people that lived through it all are dead and then just claim that it’s too far gone for a solution.

I think the most fair scenario would be for the TRNC to dissolve, the foreign militaries to leave the island, for the ROC government compensating GC and TC refugees due to the events of ’63/74, for the GC to get their legal properties back and for the GCs and TCs to live under the ROC as equals, which would require a new and more reasonable constitution. But sadly, I doubt that will ever happen. The TRNC acts as a puppet state for Turkey and its interests. They don’t want justice, they want to continue their occupation. Many TCs aren’t even here anymore. I wonder if there’s any better realistic solution than what’s going on right now – living separately, with TRNC as an illegal state. Maybe if the ROC changes its constitution and makes it more equal, the change could happen by itself with time.
