I think Trump is a big bucket of diarrhea that’s waiting to get flushed, but this is exactly how Stubb should have played this.
As I responded to someone, Stubb just got several hours of alone time with Trump in Trump’s safe place. He played golf on Trump’s team and helped him win. This is like getting someone to sauna with you.
Stubb’s wife is friends with Zelensky’s wife, and there’s no chance that Stubb would turn his back on either Ukraine or the EU. During Finland’s elections it was often suggested that Stubb should play golf with Trump, considering Stubb is near professional at it.
This is so smart. Daring and required a lot of patience but also smart. While Trump played golf, Stubb may have just played Trump a little.
