This was the plan all along. Stop thinking about countries people. We are dealing with a global olagarchy, not a country level one.
They look at country lines like the lines on a chess board. All though honestly, now it might be more like a checker board to them because the majority of general public is focused on ultra local level stuff or the country they live in at the most. why can no one in this thread explain how one nation giving away it’s money to another nation benefits the people of the giving nation?
I’m no expert, but I saw this happening right after the USAID announcement. There are only two superpower countries in the world (the EU is a union, not a country). Both powers want support, prestige, power and more customers. In any arena where one power withdraws, the other will advance. That seems like simple logic.
China has been making headway (slow and haltingly, at times) in influencing Africa, South America and the rest of Asia, to be new customers. This is the same situation for the US, though population decline won’t come for many years as long as immigration continues. To provide simple healthcare and vaccines to other countries is a cheap way to develop positive relations with future customers.
This was happening two decades ago. They’ve been handing out loans and investments in developing nations like candy for ages.

USAID is largely nothing but a fraudulent money laundering machine for black op purposes and specific ideology political advancement and entrenchment around the world and at home.
The good that it DOES do is limited and needs to be handled by a completely different department that has true checks and balances and oversight.
China stepping in comes with even worse consequences for the nations around the world that think they’ll get assistance in the manner that the US did for them. Choose your poison with either, sure, but we’re talking about vast extremes in consequences. Chinas CP does not play for short term influence interests, they play for long term keeps and by any means necessary.
Let’s get these Xi-bucks rolling! At least until China’s National People’s Congress elects some orange who believes that having economic leverage over other countries is a bad thing with an even dumber billionaire sidekick who doesn’t understand how money works, lol.

Clickbait article; PRC Foreign policy has been known for decades now, they’re consistent in their approach. Last time I checked the figures, their foreign investment was decreasing.
Anyone who worked anywhere near USAID could have told you this would be the outcome. And china plays for keeps the us lost the cheapest from of soft power. USAID was a huge value too bad Elmo and Fox News did not understand it.

He sees three global mob cartels – Putin’s Russia, Xi’s China and his US. Each mob boss should be able to control his sphere of influence. China can do what it wants with its Asian neighbors. Russia can bully its European neighbors. All of this is fine with him as long as he can do what he wants Our Friends on the American Supercontinent. Panama, Greenland and Canada should just get with the program.

UPDATE: I don’t know what this means for Africa and the Middle East. Judging by recent events, I’m pretty sure Stephen Miller just wants rid the US of anything that „looks or smells like those people“ — his words, not mine. I’m sure he said that at some point. I doubt he’d deny it.
