I mean of course. The epileptic drivers getting the allowance now have the possibility of having an extra non driving allowance to drive. Why not? L aqwa zmien!
I’m curious as to how you think this scheme will be abused. Although they are still finalising the details, I am curious to know your thoughts.
Also, I understand it’s unpopular but we are not going to see any form of significant change until we end those fuel subsidies. What is the point of a free market if the government stays funding the industry that is not only outdated but actively burning or planet to the ground
I love this idea. I hate driving here as so few other drivers on the road actually know how to drive properly, makes driving incredibly frustrating. Id happily give away my license here for 25k. However, Id still like the ability to drive a car whilst outside of Malta. Perhaps they can revoke local license and leave you with an international permit?
Can I keep my motorbike license? 25k buys a lot of cool bikes!
Part of those giving up their license will be old people already not capable of driving. For a 70/75 year old with a license, this will be literally free money.
Then there will be those seeking to benefit, giving up their license and still driving. Then you have a car accident with them and god help you, as you’d need to take them to court to get your car fixed.
