It’s crazy to think that the star has already exploded 3000 years ago and we’re just now going to be able to see it.

Go to Spaceweather.com, on their right sidebar theyve got a watch up for this event if and when it occurs. Theyll also post an article when the main event occurs.
I’d say only partial click bait. A Nova is a massive explosion on a star.

I haven’t been able to see the north star in years. I’m guessing it’s because of light pollution, but I’m not going to be holding my breath over this event.
I mean, if it exploded, it exploded 3,000 years ago.
You could use that headline every week and it would be just as accurate minus the “What to know” part.
Is this the nova that was supposed to occur last summer?
I’ve been trying to watch this since I first heard about it maybe a year ago and it was expected to occur in maybe September 2024
I’ve had reminders set for twice a week in my phone since at least September and it the articles went from „it’s happening soon!“ to „why isn’t it happening?“ to an occasional „happening soon!“ article.
This „Blaze Star“ hasn’t blazed yet. Seems to be something that occurs on a fairly fixed schedule given it’s handful of sightings over presently known and recorded history.
Somewhere in the observable universe a star may or may not explode tomorrow

A star is exploding all the time, it’s called fission.
